The number of liquefied natural gas trade routes continues to grow as more suppliers and more buyers enter the game. The attached Google Earth file allows users to quickly see how that trade has been, and how it is going to evolve. IHS CERA will periodically add more historical trade routes as well as IHS CERA outlooks in this format.

Dry bulk freight rates are on the brink of a major slowdown, as the rate of fleet growth is set to outstrip prospective increases in demand to a massive degree. The effects of this on the global steam coal market will be to narrow the differentials between short-haul and long-haul ocean freight costs, making the prospects for increased movements of steam coal from the Atlantic Basin to Asia Pacific much better than they have been since the early 2000s.
